Best vespa tours in Florence and Tuscany
Having immersed yourself in Florence’s crowded museums and bustling nightlife, a vespa tour getaway makes for a perfect finale to your Tuscan experience. On one of those vespa tours in Tuscany and Florence you can spend a day taking in the region’s bucolic landscapes, rambling through ancient villages, and sampling delicious local products.
Aside from the fun of the ride itself, driving a vespa gives you the freedom to explore areas inaccessible by public transport. The small but richly charismatic villages of Chianti, Mugello, and Val d’Orcia are just three of many traditional settlements, served only by infrequent extra-urban buses.
Vespa Tours in Florence and Tuscany
Below is a selection of the best vespa tours in Florence. All are operated by companies which I am familiar with and have garnered a reputation for reliability and excellence amongst their clients.
The selection’s various routes and lengths allow for flexibility in your schedule.
If you have never driven a Vespa or a scooter before, no worries. It’s super easy, modern Vespas has automatic shift, and you will learn how to drive it in a couple of minutes. But if you still don’t want to drive (or you don’t have a driving license) you can still take the tour as a passenger on the backseat.
The tours are lead by a tour guide driving his/her Vespa, and you will follow him/her along the route. The tour guide is usually happy to have a passenger on the backseat, to be able to welcome in tour also people who can’t drive.
For those who wants to ride a Vespa without a tour guide, I also selected a self-guided Vespa tour and a very convenient Vespa rental for the whole day.
