Florence private walking tour

The best way to enjoy Florence is a slow walk in the narrow charming alleys of the historical center, following the path of history and art and letting the details catch your eye. Every detail has a whole story to tell, and I am here to tell you. During my Florence private walking tour we will touch all the most important and impressive monuments of the city, such as the Cathedral with its magnificent dome, piazza della Signoria with Palazzo Vecchio, the lovely Ponte Vecchio bridge and Pitti Palace, on the other side of the Arno river.

Between those world famous attractions Florence hides thousands of less known treasures. Small romantic churches with impressive frescoes and painting from the 14th century, shady alleys still looking like during the Renaissance and even traces of the Roman Empire which founded Florence 2000 years ago… And I will be more than happy to share those treasures with you.

In a few hours you’ll learn the long history of Florence in the original places where history was made by such great personalities like the Medici family, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo.. The guided walking tour is always private and will touch:

  • Palazzo Medici
  • Piazza Duomo – with the Cathedral, Giotto’s belltower and the Baptistry
  • Piazza della Repubblica
  • Orsanmichele church (one of my very favorites!)
  • Loggia del Porcellino – where our lucky charm, the piglet is
  • Piazza della Signoria with Palazzo Vecchio
  • Piazzale degli Uffizi
  • Ponte Vecchio

More info about the tour:

  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Meeting Point: Palazzo Medici Riccardi
  • Included: a licensed local tour guide
  • Not included: entrance to museums mentioned above.

We will cover a total length of about 2 km. It’s an easy city walk and doesn’t require any special physical skill. Of course I can adjust the tour according to your needs and desires.

Note: we won’t enter in all the listed buildings as some of them has a limited entrance or require a ticket. But I will do my best to let you step in the ones that are sometimes opened for free.

The walking tour can be easily paired with an Accademia Gallery private tour (where the original David by Michelangelo is displayed) for a total time of 3 hours.
