Best hotel with a rooftop pool in Florence: Grand Hotel Minerva
Located in the beautiful piazza Santa Maria Novella and super close to the train station, Grand Hotel Minerva is a first class 4 star hotel with a spa and a gym. But the best part of the hotel is definitely the panoramic terrace, with a rooftop pool, a cocktail bar and a restaurant.
After 19.00 the terrace turn into a hip place for both locals and travelers, who come here to have an aperitivo while enjoying the sunset on Florence. The rooftop bar is known for their BBQ: vegan, meat or fish.
Only guests of the hotel can enter the pool area. But even if you aren’t staying at the Grand Hotel Minerva, you can still come to enjoy an aperitivo or a dinner.
Plaza hotel Lucchesi
Another historic luxury hotel with a rooftop pool in Florence, Plaza Hotel Lucchesi . Actually is one of the best and oldest luxury hotels in town! It has an amazing rooftop pool and an American bar, Empireo, which opens for aperitivo at 19.30 and regularly hosts musical events and parties. Rooftop pool and bar are seasonal, but for the whole year there is an amazing bar and restaurant indoor. Location is central but very quiet.
Rooms of Plaza Hotel Lucchesi have neutral colors, timeless elegance and gorgeous views over the Arno river and on the red tiled roofs of Florence.
Hotel Kraft
That’s the best choice if you are coming to Florence in winter and you still want to enjoy a rooftop pool. The one at Hotel Kraft is heated and running all year long! The terrace of the hotel Kraft is also featuring a cocktail bar and restaurant, Terrazza Rossini, and a rooftop garden with local herbs and plants. Once again, at 19.00 the terrace opens to non-guests for an aperitivo with a view.
Rooms are cozy, simple but classy, with modern amenities and balconies. But the best thing of this accommodation is the great money for value ratio: it’s the cheapest one of the hotels with a rooftop pool in Florence. The Social Hub Florence Lavagnini
The Social Hub Florence, formerly The Student Hotel, is a super cool hotel an amazing contemporary design, co-workring spaces, bar and restaurant.
Even if it offers medium and long term stays for students, The Social Hub Florence makes a perfect stay also for leisure and business travelers. Rooms have a very colorful and informal design. And the rooftop pool is one of the coolest ones ever!
The strength of this place are services and common areas: bars and restaurants are open until late night, there’s a common kitchen, a gym, a concept store, a hair salon and much more.
NH Hotel Firenze
NH Hotels are famous for their flawless service, comfortable rooms and fantastic buffet breakfasts. The NH Hotel Firenze also features a seasonal rooftop pool (open from June to September) with a cocktail bar and restaurant called Narciso. They have any possible food option, from vegan to gluten-free.
It’s located at the border of the historic center, very close to the most important places for events and a few steps away from the Consulate of United States of America. It’s a great choice if you’re traveling for business, or if you are attending an event at Stazione Leopolda, Fortezza da Basso or Palazzo dei Congressi. Those places are all at a walking distance.
Rooftop pool in Florence: The Glance Hotel
The Glance Hotel is a classy and contemporary 4 star accommodation with a nice garden where to enjoy a drink in the evening or breakfast at morning. The rooftop pool is really pretty and the view is beautiful.
The only flaw of this hotel is the location: it’s in via Nazionale, very central and close to the train station, but one of the busiest and noisiest streets of Florence.
I usually don’t recommend staying in via Nazionale, but this hotel is really beautiful, and considering the central location, the rooftop pool and all the services they offer, has a great value for money ratio.
